Control your TV from Amazon Alexa or Google Home

Stacey shows you how to control your TV with your voice.

Handheld remotes? Those are so 2016.

In a recent video, Stacey Higginbotham of Stacey On IoT shows you how to control your TV using an Amazon Alexa or Google Home. You can ask them to “Turn on Netflix” or “Turn off Entertainment System”. Your request can turn off or turn on multiple entertainment system components (e.g. the receiver, TV, Roku) at one time using the Logitech Harmony Hub.

But it’s not instantaneous. Stacey shows how long it can take for the various components to talk to each other and make the action work.

Have a look, and you can see more Internet of Things videos on Stacey’s channel.
