Imagine Blue – From Imagination to Innovation (sponsored)

The Bluetooth Imagine Blue Awards highlight the work and imaginations of creators, developers and students using Bluetooth® technology to solve the world’s biggest challenges. Applicants entered in two categories—Prototype and Student—with the chance to win cash prizes ranging from $5,000 to $10,000 USD to help take their inventions to market. The Bluetooth SIG received hundreds of applications and a panel of judges narrowed down to five finalists in each category. Prototype finalists will be displayed in the Bluetooth SIG booth (booth 17) at Bluetooth World.  Winners of both categories will be announced from Bluetooth World on 28 March. Finalists include:

Beeem (Beem Technologies) enables Bluetooth beacons to broadcast cloud-connected, fully functioning webpages for users to access more information and purchasing capabilities for any object, place or event.

Touch Beacon (Novalia) brings touch-based, interactive consumer digital experiences to virtually any printed material via Bluetooth connectivity and beacons.

TrackR atlas (TrackR) creates a virtual floor plan of users’ homes and helps track frequently misplaced items via a small, plug-in Bluetooth proximity device.

Cassia TeleHealth Solution (Cassia Networks) connects the Cassia Bluetooth router with smart medical equipment to create a more effective and automated IoT telehealth solution for at-home care.

Tempow multi streaming audio (Tempow) uses local multi-casting capabilities to connect one smartphone to several Bluetooth audio devices for one synced output.

The Student finalists include ArriveAwake-ArriveAlive from Ashton Cofer, Bluejay from Sara Du, Magic Knock from Kento Sasamoto, OperaBLE from Celia Garrido-Hidalgo and DeMeter from Gary Dusek.

This post is running as part of a media partnership between Stacey on IoT and The Bluetooth SIG.
