Mango Mirror on the wall, who’s the healthiest of them all?

April 24, 2018 by Stacey Higginbotham Leave a Comment

Connected mirrors are one of those divisive devices that people either love or hate. The idea of getting relevant information while you do your makeup or brush your teeth is appealing to folks who want information wherever they look. Others view them as silly, especially when glancing at your phone could provide the same information. In the video below, I review the Mango Mirror, which offers fitness data, weather, and news at a glance and costs between $499 and $599, depending on size.

The coolest thing about this mirror is that it uses your phone’s Bluetooth connection to “recognize” you so it can personalize your feed. This particular smart mirror is focused on health and wellness, but I’d love to see it add widgets for things like to-do lists or even YouTube videos so I could watch along with a makeup tutorial while I’m trying it out. Otherwise I may never figure out how to contour my cheekbones.
